London Riots

After the fatal shooting of a man on Thursday 4th August by a police officer, the protests against the police
turned into riots. They started in Tottenham and swiftly moved within 24 hours to the rest of
London. Even some other cities started rioting. The riots looted shops and damaged their local
community.
Jenny Chapman, MP of Darlington, said on Twitter: "Happy, safe, fun atmosphere in Darlington town centre last night. Heart goes out to London, admiring the community clean-up."
On the left you can see the front cover of the 'i' newspaper from 9/8/2011.

Here is a map of where the riots have been in the UK. (Rumours that there might have been riots in Washington D.C) On the front of 'The Sun' this morning they showed photos of some of the rioters, also the Police have been publishing photos of suspects. However the question on everybody lips is what are they going to do to the rioters they catch? There are not enough spaces in jail and is a fine going to be enough?
Some of the people who were rioting were lifeguards, postmen, hairdressers, chefs, school children as young as 11 and even a millionaires daughter according to 'the Sun'.
